Cornea Edema
A Cornea Edema is a condition in which becomes cloudy as a result of two much fluid. In order to maintain clarity the cornea must be only have a certain water content. There are specialize cells on the cornea which constantly pump fluid out of the cornea. If these cells become damage or lose function, the cornea will absorb the water and become cloudy. Medications and an advanced technique of cornea transplant called Descemet stripping Endothelial keratoplasty can be used to treat this problem.
